The Carnival Is Sold Out!

The 10/29 Screeching Weasel show is sold out. Thanks, gang!

For a guy whose career is supposedly over I seem to be doing pretty well lately!

Wanted badly to see this show. Anyway great to see you blogging; that whole thing, though wrong, was blown way out of proportion. We have all been there at some time(s) in our lives.

No, not bad at all. Its obvious you are very far from a toilet career.

3 of us are making our 2nd trip to Chicago from England this year to see this gig. Unlike the dickless wonders who bailed from Weaselfest on the basis of ill-informed soundbites, PC image issues and a 1-sided trial presided over by self-righteous, numb-nut keyboard warriors, we don’t crumble so easily.

A desire to see Screeching Weasel in 2011 is proving so unnecessarily expensive, but we don’t want your money and we don’t want your pity. We want to see the Punk Rock show and to listen to someone who cares enough to say what he believes, not what he thinks others expect of him. Our livers are not lily’d.

Glad to see Ben’s acknowledgement of Joe’s part in all of this. We were at Reggie’s to see The Queers on 29 May and his vociferous, unqualified, undying trust and support for his friend was what we had hoped for and indeed expected from so many others. Joe came through where so many pale imitations failed.

I went to the Rebellion festival in England last month (a more inappropriate name I could not even dream up but anyway…) and I lost count of the number of strangers who stopped me to praise the band on my shirt. I guess that Ben would cringe but let me tell you anyway, those British and European ‘street punks’ love their Screeching Weasel and want to tell people about it. That ‘career’ most definitely still has legs.

See you in October. Make sure it rips.

Hey Ben, I’m happy to know you got a new band. I can´t believe Danny Vapid is such a faggot, and I’m going to burn my Methadones records. If you ever come to Spain and want a tourist guide, I’m your man!!

Well, hmmmmmmmmm, sold out huh? GOOD!!! So much for all the naysayers. More shows? If I didn’t live in America’s wang(Florida) I’d be there. Have yet to see you guys live. I grew up in Providence,RI and missed seeing you guys before you broke up that one time, no offense i lost count. Florida has been fairly disappointing as far as bands coming through Tampa is concerned. Oh well, glad to see the show that wasn’t meant to be is sold out. Have a Blast!!! Blow some speakers and tear the roof off that place!!——-JA

Great to hear new Screeching Weasel songs! When i first hear Carnival Of Schadenfreude on facebook i thought it was just a single. Today when I visited amazon i just couldn´t believe. 7 new amazing songs. Not just new songs. New songs with amazing melodies and SW instrumental. Great to see you´re back!
