Yeah, it was pretty jerkish for all those bands to bail on Weaselfest.
It was also pretty pussy that Ben Weasel bailed on Weaselfest too.

It seems obvious when somebody writes lyrics like those on Fidatevi in particular (along with lots of other greats over the years) that he/she doesn’t condone the type of behavior that occurred at SXSW. It could also go unsaid that everyone has made mistakes. With these obvious facts (to me) being said fans of your music and overall message will continue to show you support especially now when you need the support the most!!

As always, Ben, you have my support! We missed you when the San Antonio show got canceled and we will be here waiting for the chance to see you play here again. Do what you need to do, let’s put this behind us and move forward. Your real fans haven’t abandoned you.

Just like Matt_Skeels, I too missed out on your San Antonio show. I actually live in Austin, but didn’t want go to the SXSW show. Who wants to be drowned in a load of drunken hipsters who believe they know everything about music? Not to mention, they rip you off by charging a fuckload for tickets or ‘badges’. Clearly, the hardcore hipsters lived up to my ideas of them by treating you like shit. Ben, don’t let those assholes tell you when to throw in the towel. Your true fans are still waiting for you.

I miss him. I havent been on twitter in months, no reason to any more.
Still holding onto some hope that he will whip up a band and play a show this year in Boston.

Ben Weasel could have punched a gang of ice-throwing bitches and would still be the shit in my book. I caught him two nights in a row at Emos in ATX a few years back with SW and the Riverdales. The guy told me off and said he was gonna punch me in the nuts for throwing a bottle at him (which i did not). I still rock a huge weasel tat and will love his music for the rest of my days.People dont like being harassed, spit on, or getting shit thrown at them … get of his nuts people, he’s a human being. Come back Ben!!
